What is the Child - Counselor Ratio?
What makes our camp so unique is that each camper's child:counselor ratio never exceeds 10:1. On field trips the ratio may even be as low as 5:1. Besides having counselor with every group we also have CIT (Counselors in Training) to help out.
What are the Ages of Our Campers?
Our campers range from children starting JK, all the way up to Gr. 9, in September. Our "little campers" are KG - Grade 1 students.
Whereas most summer camps place children together within a range of ages, Gill Summer Camp places children together by the grade they are entering in September.
What are the Hours of the Camp?
The camp runs from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Students may be dropped off as early as 8:00 am and picked up as late as 5:00pm. There is no extra charge for extended hours.
Is the Camp Tax Fee Deductible?
Yes. Before your child's last day you will receive an official tax receipt that can be used by the parents.
Do Children Bring their Own Lunch?
Students must bring a nutritious lunch from home, expect for one day a week where we provide cheese pizza for all students. Please make sure all lunches and snacks brought from home are peanut and nut free.
